چکیده

ABSTRACT Introduction: The continuous improvement of the level modern sports competition compels reform and constant updates on training theory; research is migrating from low-intensity to high-intensity interval, many studies have shown that interval has a good effect athletes. Objective: Investigate different recovery modalities during athletic performance young male runners. Methods: Using body morphological index measurement, intermittent exhaustion test, statistical analysis, forty long-distance runners schools were randomly divided into active group (AR, n=20) passive (PR, n=20), maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) aerobic speed (MAV) measured by incremental load exercise capacity time (ET) recorded. Results: Compared with pre-training, MAV ET in both groups increased significantly after (P<0.05); there was no significant difference RA (P>0.05). Conclusion: High-intensity can improve ability long term. Level evidence II; Therapeutic - investigation treatment outcomes.

Markers for Routine Assessment of Fatigue and Recovery in Male and Female Team Sport Athletes during High-Intensity Interval Training

AIM Our study aimed to investigate changes of different markers for routine assessment of fatigue and recovery in response to high-intensity interval training (HIIT). METHODS 22 well-trained male and female team sport athletes (age, 23.0 ± 2.7 years; V̇O2 max, 57.6 ± 8.6 mL · min · kg(-1)) participated in a six-day running-based HIIT-microcycle with a total of eleven HIIT sessions. Repeated sp...

The response of blood buffering capacity and H+ regulation to three types of recovery during repeated high-intensity endurance training

Background/aim: Many studies were shown the effect of type's recovery on performance. Active recovery has been reported by some to promote greater exercise capacity, while others have not confirmed these results. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of three types of recovery during repeated high-intensity endurance training on blood buffering capacity and H+ regulation. Desig...

Amino acid supplements and recovery from high-intensity resistance training.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether short-term amino acid supplementation could maintain a short-term net anabolic hormonal profile and decrease muscle cell damage during a period of high-intensity resistance training (overreaching), thereby enhancing recovery and decreasing the risk of injury and illness. Eight previously resistance trained males were randomly assigned to eith...

Effects of inspiratory muscle training upon recovery time during high intensity, repetitive sprint activity.

The present study examined the influence of specific inspiratory muscle training (IMT) upon recovery time during repetitive sprint activity, as well as the physiological and perceptual responses to fixed intensity shuttle running. Using a double-blind placebo-controlled design, 24 male repetitive sprint athletes were assigned randomly to either an IMT (n = 12) or placebo (n = 12) group. The sel...

The scientific basis for high-intensity interval training: optimising training programmes and maximising performance in highly trained endurance athletes.

While the physiological adaptations that occur following endurance training in previously sedentary and recreationally active individuals are relatively well understood, the adaptations to training in already highly trained endurance athletes remain unclear. While significant improvements in endurance performance and corresponding physiological markers are evident following submaximal endurance...
